Pastoral

The warmth and friendliness of our community give students a sense of belonging. Form Tutors and Learning Managers are happy to listen, to talk, to advise and support.

We believe strongly in a close and open relationship between school and home and parents are always welcome.  The Homework Diary, which we ask you to sign each week, is a quick and easy way of keeping in touch.  Parents' Evenings and written reports provide a more detailed insight into your child's achievements.

Students have daily and weekly tutorial time to build relationships and to set targets for their work and progress each term.

We have high expectations of students' behaviour and discipline and as they progress through the school we encourage them to take responsibility for their studies and to share in promoting the values of honesty, integrity, respect for others, courtesy and trust.

We have a clear uniform policy, which we work hard to enforce.  It has been designed to be comfortable and contemporary.

We also have an ICT Acceptable User Policy which can be read by clicking here.

Our sanctions are firm but fair and our commendations recognise academic success and reward those who share in the work of the school and who help others.  The code of conduct is consistently implemented, but like many school policies is discussed by the School Council first before being implemented.
